I’m pretty hype that the news is finally official! We’re developing a show called Philly Reign for USA Networks, which is executive produced by The Queen of Hip Hop Soul, 2x Oscar Nominee, Mary J. Blige. It's a story about my family – specifically my mother Thelma Wright and her reign as the Queen of Philly. The show will be based on her self-published memoir "With Eyes From Both Sides: Living My Life In & Out Of The Game".
I believe LA is where I’m supposed to thrive. As of recent things have become increasingly more difficult, but I take it as a sign that I’m closer than I’ve ever been before. I guess that’s what happens when you hit new levels, it becomes increasingly more difficult to hit the next plateau. With that being said, if you’re considering moving or have recently move to LA or another major city, I wanted to share four mantras that have helped me navigate.
One of the silver linings has been the importance of creating and having your own. Whether you’re just beginning your marathon or are on lap number 24, it can be such a rewarding and life-changing experience once you make the decision to start your race. You are your own competition and you are the only thing that can get in the way of reaching your goals.
We must keep in mind that greatness is a journey, whereas success is a destination. Much deeper than what short-term success can bring such as monetary gain, awards, and accolades, greatness is something that is achieved over time, through wisdom, leadership, and service. Greatness is an embodiment of your legacy, the joy you bring to those close to you as well as the positive impact you have on the world.
